How do I save an AI response?

Which AI chatbots are supported?

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Mistral, DeepSeek, Grok, and Meta AI. More being added regularly.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your entries are stored in your private diary. Forge does not sell them or use them to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I search my saved entries?

Yes — use the search bar at the top of your Diary to find any entry instantly by keyword, topic, or AI source. Free accounts get 20 searches per day; Diary Pro has unlimited search.

What is "Same topic in other AIs"?

When you open an entry, Diary checks whether you've asked something similar to a different AI and, if so, lists those entries underneath so you can compare answers. Close matches appear under "Looks like the same question"; looser ones under "Might be similar". Each match shows which AI it came from, the date, and what it contains (table, checklist, key facts, sources, images). Click one to open it. Up to five are shown, and the box stays hidden when nothing matches.

Why don't my older entries show related entries?

Matching relies on semantic search, which older entries may not have yet. Click "Enable semantic search for older entries" at the bottom of the sidebar in your Diary and they'll be included over the next few minutes. Matches are worked out each time you open an entry, so nothing needs to be re-saved.

Can I share or export an entry?

Yes — open any entry and use Copy, WhatsApp, Email, or Print (which you can also use to save a PDF, via your browser's own print dialog).

What can I do with a saved answer?

More than read it. When an answer contains a table, click "View table" to open it in its own window, where you can sort columns and filter rows. If the table has numbers or price ranges, a Chart button turns them into a bar chart you can save as an image. Click Copy and paste it straight into Excel or Google Sheets, or download it as an Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file. What you copy or download is exactly what you see, including your sort and filter. Checklists can be ticked off, and your ticks are saved with the entry. Key facts, sources and images are pulled out of the answer so you can find them quickly. Open an entry and click "What can I do with this?" to see which of these it has.

Can I use the table or sources after I click Continue in Forge?

Tables in the Continue page also have a "View table" button, and "Open original" takes you back to the original AI conversation. Sync pulls in anything new from that conversation; hover over it to see when it last synced.

What is "Continue Conversation"?

It lets you keep talking with the AI directly from a saved entry, right inside Diary — no need to go back to the original site. Under the hood, Diary automatically resends your full saved conversation as context each time, so it feels seamless. To be transparent: no AI actually remembers anything between separate conversations — this just saves you from manually copying and pasting your whole conversation back in every time.

Once I've used Continue Conversation, does Sync still update the same entry?

Yes. The first time you use Continue Conversation on an entry, Diary switches that entry over to it as its main view — any further Sync (or Save) on the original AI conversation is then added there too, alongside anything you've added directly through Continue Conversation itself, rather than to a separate copy. Nothing you've added through Continue Conversation is ever overwritten by a later Sync.

Is there a limit on how many conversations I can continue?

Free accounts can continue up to 20 different entries each calendar month, resetting on the 1st. Diary Pro removes this limit entirely.

Is there a limit on how long one continued conversation can get?

Yes, a per-conversation guardrail that applies even on Diary Pro — 8 new messages on free accounts, 50 on Pro. This is well beyond what an ordinary conversation needs; it exists to bound cost on the rare, unusually long conversation, not to interrupt normal use.

What does Diary Pro cost, and what do I get?

$14.95/month, or $11.96/month billed yearly (20% off). Diary Pro removes the monthly Continue Conversation limit, raises the per-conversation guardrail from 8 to 50 messages, and adds unlimited search (free accounts get 20 searches per day). Why does Sync sometimes take a moment, or show "still syncing"?

Sync re-reads the original conversation to pull in anything new since your entry was last saved. Some AI providers render more slowly than others, so this occasionally takes a few extra seconds — it isn't stuck, just working.
